It’s an opportunity you won’t want to miss!
By signing up, you’ll also receive a special gift – a workbook packed with insights on creating content that converts, including 30 content ideas to grow a ready-to-buy audience. Let’s dive into today’s topic!
Finding Time for What Matters
First and foremost, I want to emphasise that what works for me may not be identical to what works for you, and that’s perfectly okay. I’m here to share my behind-the-scenes approach to help you see different ways of getting organised and growing your yoga business.
I used to believe I didn’t have the time to do many things. However, I’ve come to realize that time is something we make, not something we find. We didn’t have the time to scroll through Instagram for hours or watch hours of Netflix until we decided to make time for it.
In a healthier sense, it’s similar to a friend of mine who dedicated 3 hours a day to her workout and nutrition plan. She didn’t have three hours a day for that before, but once she committed to it, everything else fell into place. The less time you have, the more focused you become on activities that truly deliver results. It’s about efficiency, not about creating the perfect website or logo.
A Flexible Workweek
I typically work on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, but I keep it flexible. Sometimes, I choose to work on Wednesdays and weekends, not because I have to but because I genuinely love what I do. Running my own business allows me to set my own rules.
Non-Negotiables: I have certain non-negotiables that guide my life and business. These include practising yoga six days a week, maintaining financial security, and ensuring that my business can operate smoothly even when I’m travelling.
What I Do on My Workdays
So, what do I do during those four working days? Here’s a glimpse of my daily routine:
Morning Routine: I wake up early, before 6 a.m., to make the most of my productive mornings. This is when I practice yoga, take care of my child, and have breakfast. I work until 11 am.
Client Calls: I have client calls for my Elevate program and 1:1 coaching sessions. I limit myself to three calls a day to maintain a healthy balance.
Voxer: My 1:1 clients have access to me daily through Voxer, a voice messaging app. This convenient communication method allows me to provide daily support and guidance.
Content Creation: On two of the four working days, I create content for social media and email marketing. I don’t adhere to a strict schedule; I create content when inspiration strikes. If I lack inspiration, I refer to my list of content ideas. Creating content typically takes about 10 minutes.
Business Strategy: The rest of my day is focused on tasks that drive my business forward. This week, my primary focus is preparing for the Bootcamp, writing emails, and working on other key projects.
CEO Sessions and Support
I make it a point to have at least one CEO session per week. This session helps me align my business decisions with my vision and income goals. It ensures that I’m on track for the future.
I also have a 1:1 business coach for added support and guidance.
Wrapping It Up
What truly matters to me is that I wake up every morning excited about my business. I want every yoga teacher to know that they can have the career they desire. You can build a successful yoga business without working tirelessly. It doesn’t have to be a struggle.
The key is to step out of your comfort zone and embrace change. The most successful yoga teachers are those who truly desire it and are ready to create something of their own.
In conclusion, you don’t have to work only four days a week, but I want you to know that it’s possible. You can build a thriving yoga business that aligns with your desired lifestyle. I hope this insight into my yoga business journey has been inspiring.
