Helped hundreds of women build their dream businesses, breaking the rules and becoming their most authentic self since 2016, from a tiny island called Nusa Lembongan, located next to Bali (Indonesia). I love freediving and spending time with my 2 rescue doggies, hubby and 6 years old boy.

The idea that every yoga teacher must find a niche to succeed has long been a staple in the yoga community. But is this always true? Recent conversations with clients and friends have brought this question to the forefront, sparking a much-needed discussion. Let’s delve into why the niche requirement might be more myth than reality, especially for yoga teachers with a particular focus on in-person classes and community-based practices.

Success Beyond the Niche

Some of the most successful yoga instructors have flourished without confining themselves to a narrowly defined niche. These teachers often share one common trait: a strong, loyal community built through their in-person classes. This existing student base, already invested in their teaching style, allows these teachers to expand into the online realm seamlessly, fostering organic growth of their community.

The Role of Complementary Practices

Yoga teachers who also specialize in complementary practices, like Ayurveda, present another intriguing scenario. Their online offerings can effortlessly extend to these additional areas, appealing to students interested in a holistic approach. This strategy not only enriches the teacher’s portfolio but also provides more value to their students, reinforcing the connection between teacher and community.

Introducing the Quiz: “What’s The Missing Piece in Your Yoga Biz”

To further support your yoga teaching journey, I’m thrilled to introduce an insightful quiz: “What’s The Missing Piece in Your Yoga Biz.” Designed to uncover potential blind spots in your approach, this quiz features four distinct profiles to help you identify areas needing attention. Upon completion, you’ll receive a tailored plan to enhance your yoga business, and I’ll be available to answer any follow-up questions via email.

Rethinking the Path to Success

The journey of a yoga teacher is unique and varied. While niching down can be beneficial for some, it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. Embracing a broader approach, especially if it aligns more with your teaching style and student base, can often lead to a more satisfying and sustainable career in yoga.

As you contemplate your path, remember that the true essence of teaching yoga lies in connection, community, and adaptability, not just in fitting into a specific category.

Embrace Clarity in Your Yoga Journey

As we wrap up, I encourage you to reflect on your unique strengths and approach as a yoga teacher. Whether you’re focusing on in-person classes, online offerings, or a mix of both, the key is to remain authentic to yourself and your students. May the upcoming week be filled with clarity and purposeful actions as you continue to enrich lives through yoga.
