My Journey in 2015 and 2016 – Battling Burnout
Teaching yoga brought immense joy, but it also led me down the path of burnout. Initially teaching on the side and then transitioning to full-time, I found myself exhausted and overwhelmed. It was time for a change.
Change #1: Taking a Step Back
I decided to stop teaching temporarily and hired someone to take over my classes. This break allowed me to reclaim my practice and reflect on the direction I wanted to take.
Change #2: Diversifying Offerings
I realized the need to expand beyond drop in classes. Following the footsteps of my mentors, I gradually added weekly workshops, retreats, Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), and eventually moved online.
Change #3: Shifting Mindset
Diversifying my offerings required learning new skills. The key change here was shifting my mindset from self-doubt to a belief that I could learn anything with commitment and determination.
Change #4: Embracing Failure
Instead of solely chasing positive outcomes, I started embracing failures as valuable feedback. Understanding the importance of refining my offerings based on audience response significantly increased my revenue.
Change #5: Selling Before Creating
To avoid burnout and wasted effort, I stopped creating online courses before selling them. This strategic shift prevented me from investing excessive time in courses that might not resonate with my audience.
Recap of Transformations:
🌟 Diversification: I added new offerings to complement traditional classes.
🌟 Embracing Failure: Seeing flops as learning opportunities improved my business.
🌟 Strategic Course Creation: Selling courses before creating them saves time and energy.
The High Ticket Offer Course
I recently announced my latest course, High Ticket Offer, teaching yoga teachers how to create and sell personalized 1:1 yoga programs. By announcing it in advance, gauging interest, and offering a pre-sale discount, I ensured community demand before dedicating time to course creation.
During the pre-sale, the course is only $222, offering early buyers a significant discount from the regular price of $888.
Intentional Actions for Success
Success stems from intentional actions, not a “see what happens” mentality. This approach, coupled with strategic thinking, is key to avoiding burnout and building a sustainable yoga career.
Teaching with Purpose
Despite the changes, I still teach three classes a week, emphasizing quality over quantity. Hiring additional teachers allowed me to balance my workload and reignite my love for teaching. The balance achieved by not teaching 20 classes a week has been transformative.
The Perfect Model for Sustainability
Strategically planning offerings, embracing failures, and selling before creating courses form a model that prevents burnout. My latest course, High Ticket Offer, is a testament to this sustainable approach.
Snag the Opportunity
For those ready to take intentional steps toward a fulfilling yoga career, consider joining the High Ticket Offer course before the pre-sale ends. Act now and secure the $222 price before it increases to $888.
As you navigate your yoga journey, may you find clarity and inspiration. Here’s to building a sustainable and joyful yoga practice!
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead filled with clarity on your intentional actions! 🌟
